Thoughtful Branches Summer Tree

So you saw the beautiful Hydrangea yesterday.  Using the same leaves, here is the tree.

Have I said that I love trees!  I really do and there are so many possibilities with this set.  This same card could easily be a Fall or Spring tree just by changing the colors.  The thinlits have a tree without leaves that can be cut and used for a winter card.

This card begins with a Soft Sky base and a layer of Crumb Cake inked with Crumb Cake.  The panel is stamped with Soft Sky, and Crumb Cake using the Timeless Textures Stamp set to create a background.

The tree trunk image from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die from the coordinating Beautiful Branches Thinlits that are bundled with the stamp set.  The leaves are stamped in Always Artichoke onto Old Olive and cut with the coordinating die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlits.

Adhere the tree trunk and leaves to the stamped panel, tuck in a couple birds stamped in Calypso Coral and die cut.  The banner sentiment is from the Crazy About You stampset and punched on each end with the Triple Banner punch to get that perfect flag that I can't seem to achieve myself.  The "You" is cut from Calypso Coral using the Hello You Thinlits.  Some Pearls are added just for pretty as well as a piece of Calpyso Coral ribbon decorated with a piece of twine.

The inside panel is also stamped with the Timeless Textures in Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.

There are so many ways to use this set.  The Thoughtful Branches Bundle is only available from August 2-31.  Take a look at this set below:

Thoughtful Branches Evergreens

The new Stampin' Up Thoughtful Branches Bundle has  separate stampsfor the tree trunks and the foliage.  That's just great, because it's always bothered me that I've had to stamp the entire tree in green when everybody knows the trunks should be brown!  I'll always love the classic Lovely as a Tree set, but I really like being able to stamp my trunk brown, then lay my leaves or evergreen on top with the green. Isn't it beautiful !

As you probably know by now, I really am a fan of Calypso Coral so that's what I've used for my card base.  A layer of DSP having Calypso Coral, Old Olive, and Basic Black is topped with my stamped piece.

The middle tree trunk was stamped with Chocolate Chip while the tree trunks on each side were stamped with Crumb Cake.  Likewise, the middle tree foliage was stamped with Always Artichoke, then without re-inking stamped again just offset.  The flanking foliage was similarly stamped with Pear Pizzazz twice without re-inking.  The stems were stamped sideways to create ground under each tree with Always Artichoke for the middle and Pear Pizzazz for the side trees.

A smaller leaf was used to stamp a border.  Chocolate Chip was used to stamp the sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.  A pieces of Pear Pizzazz ribbon was wrapped around the stamped panel.

The inside was stamped similarly with the border and the sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.  And I don't like to waste pretty paper, so I used a leftover strip on the inside panel.  Again, I love it.  This set has so many pretty images and lovely sentiments.

I can definitely predict I'll use these images with the Softly Falling Embossing folder for a Christmas card

Thoughtful Branches or Beautiful Hydrangea?

The new Thoughtful Branches Bundle has a an image and die that that can be used for either a tree or a Hydrangea. I've already shown you the tree and since I love hydrangeas almost as much as I love trees, I just had to show you the Hydrangea !

Using the same leaves stamp and die, this beautiful hydrangea can be created.  The leaves were stamped with Strawberry Slush paper with Strawberry Slush ink (yes, I know that color is long gone - you could use Melon Mambo for a similar color).  The Whisper White card panel was first stamped in Marina Mist stamped off once using the background stamp from the You've Got This set.

Place your leaves/blooms on the paper to see where the die cut stem needs placed and adhere the stem.  Then adhere the first set of leaves/blooms directly to the panel over the stem.  Using dimensionals, offset the next set of leaves/blooms slightly and adhere.  Tie some coordinating twine around the Whisper White Panel and adhere to a Strawberry Slush (or Melon Mambo) panel.  Then adhere to a Night of Navy card base.

I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with Word Window or you could use the new Classic Label.  I popped the sentiment on dimensionals.

The inside is created with the same layering of colors and a leave and sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

Again, I love it.  I'm going to use this set so much.  You will see, because I have more to show you!  I think I've used every image in the set and still have more ideas.

The Thoughtful Branches Bundle is only available from August 2-31.  Take a look at this set below:

Thinking about Branches

Stampin' Up is offering a new stamp set for a limited period.  The Thoughtful Branches set has wonderful images, sentiments, and dies.  Because the images are trees and there are so many ways to use them, I was pretty excited abou them and pre-ordered them.  So, now I'll show you how I used them.

This card was made with just the Thoughtful Branches Bundle of stamps and dies. I first stamped the tree leaves in the background with Always Artichoke. Then, I created the background by stamping the tree leaves with Soft Sky all over the rest of the Whisper White panel.  Then, stamp Always Artichoke on Old Olive and die cut out the leaves.  Next, Stamp Chocolate Chip on Crumb cake and die cut the trunk.  I stamped a couple birds in Calypso Coral and die cut.

Then, I assembled my tree by placing my tree trunk on my Always Artichoke leaves that were already stamped on the Whisper White.  The die cut leaves were offset from the leaves on the background to show depth.  I tucked the birds in the leaves and stamped the stems of the stamp set sideways for ground.

I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral and finished the outside similar to the inside with the Soft Sky leaves and Calypso Coral sentiment on a panel of Whisper White.  The card front and inside are adhered to a Soft Sky card base.

I love it!   This was really easy to create and there are so many lovely images in the Thoughtful Branches bundle.  This set is only available August 2-31
