Thank You Theme for September part 4 of 4

Today is double or nothing day!  I was just playing around, and I ended up with 2 similar cards.

This is the card I envisioned.  I wanted to use Work of Art and Painter's Palette since I feel they challenge my creativity.  And although I do like these cards, I feel I can be more creative in using these stamp sets.  So, more to come in the future.

The card base is Whisper White and then an offset layer of Pool Party.  The decorative panel was stamped on Crumb Cake paper with Pool Party and Crumb Cake using the Work Of Art and Painter's Palette stamp sets.  I stamped the easel in Chocolate Chip and  fussy cut to use as the focal point.  Really the message could be any message you wanted to use there.  The final touch is the twine just to give it that little something extra.

The inside layers the Pool Party on the Whisper White card base, then another white layer stamped similarly to the outside. This is really a quite simple, quick project.

Before I made the card above, I was just playing on a piece of white cardstock trying to figure out my design, but after I finished the card above and just saw the practice piece laying on my work surface, I decided it looked pretty to me. So I put it together into a card too.  No need to waste!

The card base is Pool Party.  The Whisper White layer is again stamped with the Work of Art and Painter's Pallette using Crumb Cake and Pool Party ink pads.  The easel is again stamped with Chocolate Chip and fussy cut.   The front is finished with the Linen Thread.

Thank You Theme for September part 3 of 4

Another day to be thankful brings us to the third card of our Thank You card series.

I haven't often used embossing folders, but I really like the Brick Wall from the previous card, and I really love the Birch trees on the Woodland embossing
folder.  So, there may be more embossing in my future.

I wanted to keep it simple; I struggle to keep it simple.  So, this time there really is minimal stamping on the card--just the sentiment and the frame around it are stamped.  This card is created with thinlits and embossing.

The Whisper White card base was layered with Pear Pizzazz DSP.  Next, the Old Olive layer was cut with the leaves die from the Rose Wonder set, and then dry embossed using the Woodland embossing folder.  The negative from the cutout shows the DSP underneath.  I sponged some Whisper White over the trees, added the cutout leaves.  I saved the little cutouts from the inside of the leaves to use in the negative area. Iit was a little tedious, but I like the effect.  Finally,  I cut the flower with the Rose Garden Thinlits, topped it with a rhinestone, and adhered it to the leaves.

To finish off the front of the card, I wrapped the Old Olive layer with Whisper White ribbon.  Then, I stamped the sentiment and coordinating frame from the Rose Wonder stamp set, cut with the Rose Garden Thinlit, and adhered to the ribbon.

The inside of the card is layered with Old Olive and Whisper White and accented with another Rose Garden Thinlit flower. A strip of the same DSP layered on the top accents the inside.  I do love fully utilizing the DSP so there is no waste; I think the little strip on the inside creates continuity and adds interest.

Thank You Theme for September part 2 of 4

The Love & Affection stamp set and coordinating Affectionately Yours paper create this lovely Thank You continuing the Thank You card-making theme for September.  This is my favorite DSP in the current catalog, and even though it is used sparingly on today's card, I still love it.

A Night of Navy card base contrasts nicely with the Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, and Garden Green color palette.  The Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder, but first the folder was inked using crumb cake to get the darker 'mortar seams' in the brick wall.  Then three different types of the Love & Affection DSP was placed diagonally across the brick wall.

The Scalloped Tag Topper punch was used to create Calypso Coral and Whisper White tags.  The Calypso Coral tag was stamped with the Love & Affection small flower using the Calypso Coral inkpad.  The Whisper White tag was stamped with both the large and small flowers and leaves using Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, and Garden Green ink pads.

The tags were layered on top the Brick Wall and DSP.  A Daffodil Delight ribbon holds the tags together and complements the Daffodil Delight in the DSP.  Finally, the Thanks, from the Hello You Thinlits, was cut from both Night of Navy and Calypso Coral.  The Night of Navy acts as a shadow to the Calypso Coral creating a dimensional effect.  I think this is my favorite....but I may say that tomorrow, too!

The inside has a layer of Crumb Cake and then Whisper White stamped with the Love & Affection larger flower and leaves.  A small strip of DSP serves as an accent and continues the theme created on the outside of the card.

Thank You Theme for September part 1 of 4

The card theme for September is Thank you.  I'll be sharing 4 posts with Thank You cards.

This is a fun, easy card created primarily with the Crazy About You stamp set.  I like to keep it simple by using fewer stamp sets and proving that card making can be fun and successful even with just a few supplies.

The card base is Elegant Eggplant.  I've created my own DSP by stamping the Brushstrokes background stamp using Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White.

With the Crazy About You Stamp set, I created the decorated panel stamped with the flower and the leaves in Elegant Eggplant and Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped another Elegant Eggplant flower and punched it out using the coordinating Flower Medallion punch.  The stamped panel was then layered on Elegant Eggplant and over the Brushstrokes background

The sentiment was stamped with the Crazy About You set, but the banner was stamped with Thoughtful Banners and punched with the coordinating Duet Banner punch.

The sentiment banner was layered over a small piece of Pear Pizzazz on Elegant Eggplant.  One of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels was used to accent the middle of the popped up flower and a double loop whisper white bow finishes off the front.

The inside also has a Whisper White panel stamped with Brushstrokes in Pear Pizzazz layered with Elegant Eggplant.  The top Whisper White panel was stamped with the Crazy About You flower and leaves to coordinate with the outside of the card.

This produced a fun and pretty Thank You card, which could just as easily be used for almost any occasion simply by changing the sentiment.  That's what I love about the Crazy About You set;  there are so many words to choose, and even though the set is almost entirely words, a pretty card can be made with the flowers and leaves.
